Maryland Public Television has appointed Ann Engelman and Brenda Derryberry , both previously with the Public Broadcasting Service, to program schedule manager and program promotion manager, respectively. Engelman succeeds Michael B. Styer , who was promoted to director of programming and operations in April.
Terry Zierzek has been appointed vice president of domestic distribution in the Eastern division for Paramount Pictures Corp. Kierzek, who joined Paramount in 1975 in Chicago, will continue to be based in Washington.
WJLA-TV Channel 7 has made two appointments in its sales department, effective today: William C. Haight has been named manager of the station's seven-member local sales force. Haight succeeds Helen Feinbloom , who has been appointed national sales manager.
Myrta Cristina Sale will join National Public Radio as assistant treasurer and vice president for finance and administration, effective Sept. 10. Sale most recently was director of Ohio's Office of Budget and Management, and also is a former director of the Peace Corps' Office of Financial Management.
John Behm has joined Henry J. Kaufman and Associates, a Washington advertising and public relations firm, as vice president. Behm also will serve as director of Creative Directions, a subsidiary of Kaufman. Behm had been an account executive with Morgan Burchette Associates Inc. in Alexandria.
Intelsat has appointed Lee R. Knopf as director of procurement and project management, effective Oct. 1. Knopf comes to Intelsat from the Government Aerospace Systems Division of Harris Co., where he was director of contracts.
