Devon Hotels Ltd., which owns a variety of hotels, including the Sheraton Hotel in New Carrollton, has appointed Klaus R. Ottman vice president for operations. He had been senior vice president of the Sheraton Corp., managing five major properties in New York City.

M. Keith Weikel, previously vice president of American Medical International and a former commissioner of medical services administration with the Department of Health and Human Services, has been appointed chief operating officer of Manor Healthcare Corp., a major subsidiary of the Silver Spring-based hotel franchiser, Manor Care Inc.

The Hyatt Regency Bethesda, scheduled to open in the fall, has named Jonathan Eber pre-opening director of sales.

The Sheraton Washington Hotel has named Mimi Limerez, formerly with the Mayflower Hotel, and Michael Grady, previously a market research assistant with Sheraton, as managers for corporate sales and transient sales, respectively.

Hilton Hotels Corp. has appointed Peter Mitchell director of corporate sales for its Washington sales office. Mitchell had been director of sales for the Hilton at Walt Disney World. The Capitol Hilton said that J. Patrick Gossett, previously assistant director of sales at the Washington Hilton & Towers, was named director of sales. Ly Ping Wu, formerly a manager of the Los Angeles Airport Hilton, has been appointed resident manager of the Washington Hilton.

The Washington Plaza Hotel on Thomas Circle NW recently named Joseph P. McAdams director of sales and marketing. He had been director of marketing for the Inter-Continental Hotel group.

The Ramada Hotel in Oxon Hill, scheduled to open in March, has named Elaine Stolaroff director of sales and Cynthia J. Kibbey director of catering. Stolaroff had been Washington regional sales manager for Marriott Hotels, while Kibbey was formerly with the Radisson Inn in Atlanta.

The Dulles Ramada Renaissance Hotel has appointed Timothy J. McFarlane, previously with the Charlottesville Hilton, to director of sales.
