City Council and deputy press secretary for the vice presidential campaign of Geraldine Ferraro, has been appointed vice president for corporate information at CBS Inc. in the company's New York headquarters.
Gray & Co. has promoted John R. Cozart, a former press secretary for the Senate Committee on Agriculture, to vice president of the Washington public relations firm. Cozart had been assistant to the chairman and an account executive in Gray's public relations division.
Fibertrak, a Reston-based fiber optics partnership between Norfolk Southern Corp. and Santa Fe Southern Pacific Corp., has announced four recent assignments: Frank Pittman, to manager of systems engineering; Raymond R. Hutter, to manager of construction engineering; Ray Gelinas, to manager of engineering administration, and Douglas H. Hanson, to assistant vice president for real estate.
Patrick L. Pellerin Jr. has left his post as vice president with Gray & Co. to head the newly formed BG&P Public Relations Inc. Pellerin's partners in the new venture are Howard Bomstein and Michael Gura, of the Bomstein/Gura Agency.
The Earle Palmer Brown Cos. has announced two senior appointments: Nancy Elliott, formerly director of Florida House, has been named a senior account executive, and William J. Holleran, recently a senior associate with InterAmerica Research Associates, has been appointed director of media relations. In addition, Joan B. Meehan and Gregory E. Harris have joined the Bethesda-based public relations firm as assistant account executives.
