Ground has been broken for Executive II, a four-story office building in Reston.

The building is owned and developed by Stanley Martin Commercial, which developed the companion building, Executive Center I, for owner Sky Courier Inc.

Like the first building, Executive Center II contains 71,500 square feet of gross leasable space.

The two buildings are similar in design. Executive Center II is an elongated hexagon constructed in precast concrete and has black windows. The buildings feature two-story granite lobbies.

The lead tenant for the second building is Vredenberg RM and Co., which provides engineering management and support services for the Department of Defense. Vredenberg has leased 35,000 square feet.

Pace Design of McLean was the architect for the project. Glen Construction is the general contractor.
