You have more than 15 years of experience in sales and management. What expertise are you bringing to this job? "The ability to rapidly deploy an aggressive Internet-based sales and marketing initiative nationally and in Canada."
As president, where do you hope to see the company in a couple of years? "We will be expanding in six key areas -- national accounts, general business, alternate channel marketing, Canada, tele-sales and most aggressively in e-commerce, www.teleglobebusiness.com. . . . We're pleased to be in such a supportive, high-tech marketplace in Northern Virginia and we've been overwhelmed by acceptance and responsiveness -- of local businesses as well as the work force -- to our product services and employment opportunities. And, I also look forward to becoming an avid Wizards fan."
How are you going to get there? What's the strategy? "We are at the high end of the market and the low end of the market. Our plan is to cover all market segments by utilizing a meet-in-the-middle strategy. We're going to move up market from our current commercial base and we're going to move down market from our wholesale carrier operation into national and major accounts. We'll make these moves while simultaneously centering our initiative around the Internet."
