Benefits, compensation and perks: Employees may choose between HMO, POS or PPO medical benefit plans. Company pays 85 percent of employee's HMO benefits. Employee must pay the difference between the higher rates of the POS or PPO plans and the HMO plan. Coverage is effective the first day of employment and includes optical benefits. Dental benefits are paid at 100 percent for employee and dependents, also effective the first day of employment. Maternity leave is covered under the short-term disability plan and is paid at 100 percent for 12 weeks. There is no paternity leave. There are 12 paid holidays, including six fixed and six floating. Employees receive three weeks' paid time off each year including sick and vacation leave. Employees may contribute to a 401(k), and the company matches 50 percent up to 6 percent of employee's gross annual salary. Flexible spending accounts are available: $2,500 for health and $5,000 for dependent care. Bonuses are awarded semi-annually and are merit-based on individual and company performance. The company also provides a $100,000 life insurance policy for each employee at no charge.
