TIG Global plans to hire about 12 people in the next two months and an additional 25 to 35 by the end of the year. Trip Schneck, president and co-founder, talked with The Post's Andrea Caumont.
your company do?
AWe're the leading provider of Web presence management and marketing services for the hospitality [industry]. We provide hotels with a full-service offering that includes Web site design and maintenance, search-engine optimization, pay-per-click marketing, online advertising, e-mail marketing, revenue and behavior tracking, strategic linking, and behavioral marketing. The overall objective is to help hotels garner market share and revenue through a focused online marketing effort.
What do you think your employees would say are the best reasons for working at your company?
TIG Global is a work-hard, play-hard environment. The company breathes innovation. It's a very entrepreneurial environment. There isn't a playbook for a lot of what we do.
Who owns your company?
We're a private group owned by myself and co-founder Frederic W. Malek and two silent partners.
What sense of stability can your company offer job candidates?
We've been up and operational now for five years and our employee retention rate has been greater than 80 percent over the past five years. We've been growing at about 100 percent per year so there's a great deal of stability.
What are the demographics of your company?
Company-wide we're 54 percent female and 20 percent minority. Within the six-person senior management team, there is one woman and no minorities.
What positions do you have available, and what level of expertise do you want?
We're looking for a vice president of client relationships and a vice president of sales, each with eight to 10 years of experience. We're also hiring a director of client relationships, a creative services director, and two client service managers with five to seven years of experience. We're also looking for two Web marketing analysts-media buyers, one technical project manager, one Web programmer, one senior interactive media analyst and one senior copywriter.
