Trex Won't Move to Loudoun County

In a reversal of an earlier statement, Trex announced that it will keep its headquarters in the Winchester, Va., area.

The company said last month that it would move to an office park in Loudoun County.

Trex employs nearly 400 people at its headquarters and a nearby factory.


Republic to Fly for US Airways Express

Indianapolis-based Republic Airlines received an operating certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration and said it expects to begin flying passengers on 28 aircraft for US Airways Express beginning in September.


Orbital Sciences Wins Satellite Contract

Orbital Sciences of Dulles said it will provide a communications satellite to Horizons-2 Satellite, a joint venture of PanAmSat and Tokyo's JSAT. Financial terms were not disclosed. Orbital said the project will take about 22 months.


Micros Systems Posts Yearly Profit

Micros Systems, a Columbia maker of business data-management software, said its fourth-quarter profit increased 46 percent, to $18.1 million (45 cents a share). Revenue rose 20 percent, to $172 million.

For the year, profit rose 61 percent, to $53.7 million ($1.35) on revenue of $597.3 million, up 23 percent from $487.4 million in the previous year.
