Management Concepts Inc. plans to hire about 20 people in the next month. Thomas Dungan III, president and owner, talked with The Post's Andrea Caumont.

QWhat does

your company do?

AManagement Concepts is in the business of improving performance for individuals, teams and organizations through training, assessment, consulting and our publishing products. We unleash the potential of people. We have a series of training products that we use in development of a training solution. We come into an organization and help assess the need, find the problems and craft the solution that involves coaching, training and one-to-one consulting [with] the goal of improving the individual and their performance on the job.

What do you think your employees would say are the best reasons for working at your company?

They like being part of a winning team. We've been in existence for 32 years. Last year we trained 40,000 people. . . . We're continually growing in our impact and our internal opportunities.

Who owns your company?

My father and I own the company.

What sense of stability can your company offer job candidates?

I think that 32 years of existence says a lot about how our company is run. We've consistently grown and have no debt.

What are the demographics of your company?

Company-wide we're 65 percent female and 20 percent minority. Within the 12-person senior-management team, there are six women and one minority.

What positions do you have available and what level of expertise do you want?

We're looking for an IT architect with a minimum of seven years of experience, a Web developer with three to five years, a database analyst with five to seven years, an e-learning curriculum developer with eight to 10 years, a business process analyst with three to five years, five instructional designers with two to 10 years, two client engagement managers with three to five years of experience and heavy project management experience, two book editors and two assistant editors with two to seven years of experience, and a contract administrator with a minimum of five years of experience and a strong federal background with GSA schedule experience. We're also looking for 10 to 15 instructors with 10 to 15 years of experience for both full-time and independent contractor positions.
