Last Saturday at the Church of the Advent in Boston, Mass, Hilary Barbour Higgins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Higgins II of Sewickley, Pa, was married to Thomas Jefferson Parker, son of Capt. (USN ret.) and Mrs Jefferson D. Parker of McLean, Va and Chatham, Mass. The Rev. G. Harris Collingwood rector, and the Rev. Samuel S. Odom of Pittsburgh, officiated and a reception was held at The Chilton Club.
Attending the couple were: Mrs John D. Miller, the bride's sister and her sister-in-law, Mrs James H Higgins III; Maids and Rosamond Parker, the groom's sisters; Tina T. Sutro, Karen A. Cook, M. Christy Moore, Melissa W. Sargent, James P Rooney Jr.; William, David, Nathamel, Robert and Patrick Parker, brothers of the groom, Peter W. Keller, Scott D. Farquhar, and Peter K. Kimball.
A graduate of Westover School (Conn.), Pine Manor Junior College, and the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston, Mrs Parker is the internship secretary and secretary for the Chief Resident of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harrry B. Higgins of Sewickley, and of the late U.S. Senator W. Warren Barbour of New Jersey and Lady Welsh of Farmington, Conn.
Mr. Parker, an alumnus of St. Alban's School here and Williams College, is on the faculty of The Fessenden School in West Newton, Mass. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Barbour of Boston, and of Mrs. Thomas J. Parker of Grandview, Texas and the late Mr. Parker.
