Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ellsworth Kettler of Bethesda, Md. announce the engagement of their daughter, Ellen Luise to Scott David Paseltiner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Paseltiner of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of White Plains, N.Y. Miss Kettler, a 1968 graduate of Walt Whitman High School, received high honors in history when graduating in 1972 from the University of Michigan. She is associate real estate counsel with the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington having graduated in 1975 from the National Law Center of the George Washington University, and is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. Her father is chairman of the board of Kettler Brothers, Inc., builder-developers in the Washington metropolitan area.
Mr. Paseltiner received a degree in economics in 1912 from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania where he was captain of the lightweight varsity crew in his senior year. A 1975 graduate of the National Law Center of the George Washington University, he is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, vice-president of NDR Investments, Inc., in Chicago, and serves as director of the board of First Variable Rate Fund, a mutual fund. His father is retired as president of Burt Millwork Corporation of Queens, N.Y.
Plans have been made for a May wedding.
