In an outdoor setting, Carol Ann Brown become the bride of Joseph Miles Hibbs III at the farm of Mr. Hibbs' mother, Mrs. Joseph Hibbs in Cox's Creek, Ky. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Steven Hampton, pastor or the Bardstown Presbyterian Church on May 6.
Given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin W. Brown of Vienna, Va., the bride wore an ivory silk gown with a hand embroidered Chanel jacket., and she carried a bouquet of ivory sweetheart roses, babby's breath, and ivy. her sister, Mrs. Jay Skeen of Del Mar. Cal, was matron of honor and Ted Erdman of Decatur. Ga. was best man for his nephew.
Mrs. Hibbs is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Leughran of Des Moines, lowa and of David A. Brown of Baltimore, Md. A graduate of Lasess Junior College (Mass.) and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, she is regional manager of the Eastern Seaboard for Video Systems Network, Inc. of Los Angeles, Cal. Mr. Hibbs served in the U.S. Coest Guard after graduating from the Coast Guard Academy. He later graduated from the Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania and is presently with the Marketing Division of Tymshare, Inc. in Arlington. The couple will live in Alexandria.
