The marriage of Tinet Elizabeth Klaveness and Bernard Georges Louis Gros-Dubois was celebrated June 18 at Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill, Alexandria. The double ring ceremony, performed by the Rev. William L. Dols, Jr. and Father Anthony Justs of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Alexandria, was followed by a reception at the Army and Navy Club in this city.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. Francis Asthore Klaveness of Alexandria, and the late Capt. Klaveness (USN ret.), was attended by her sister, Mrs. Thomas McDowell Wheeler of Alexandria, and her niece, Lisa Klaveness Wheeler. Richard de Gryse of Fort de France, Martinique acted as best man. The ushers were Andre Nikitine of San Juan, P.R., Jean-Pierre Gros-Dubois of Paris, France, and Philippe Gros-Dubois of Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe, brothers of the groom. The bride was escorted by Robert Livingston Rand of Alexandria. Mrs. Klaveness, who gave her daughter in marriage, was escorted by her grandsons, Robert Francis Wheeler and David McDowell Wheeler.
Mr. Gros-Dubois, the son of Mme. Paul Gros-Dubois of Fort de Frace and Paris, and the late M. Gros-Dubois, holds a B.S. in aeronautical enginerring from New York University with an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia University. He is an accountant with Coopers and Lybrand, New York. The bride attended schools in Europe and the Orient and is a graduate of Mary Washington College (Va.). She is with Pan American World Airways in New York, where the couple will live.
