The marriage of Katherine Victoria Cullman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Cullman of Rye, N.Y., to Jeffrey Leland Hedges, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hedges of Chevy Chase, Md., took place last Saturday afternoon at Christ's Church in Rye, N.Y. The Rev. Canon Wendell W. Phillips, D.D., performed the ceremony which was followed by a reception at the home of the parents of the bride.

Alexandria Miriam Cullman, the sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The other attendants were Molly Flynt, Allison Medlin, Allison Stone, cousins of the bride; Anne Ogburn, aunt of the bride; Juliana Ching and Adele O'Grady. John Arthur Hedges was best man for his brother. The ushers were Brian Cullman, uncle of the bride; Hugh Cullman Jr., brother of the bride; Daryl Nelson, Gabriel Ra'anan, Ethan Riegelhaupt and Jonathan Wehle.

Mrs. Hedges graduated from Rye Country Day School, Colorado College and attended the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Her father is president of Philip Morris International. SHe is a granddaughter of the late Howard Stix Cullman of New York, who was chairman of the Port of New York Authority, The Beekman Downtown Hospital, and U.S. Commissioner General to the Belgium World's Fair. The bride's maternal grandparents are Mrs. J. Victor Ogburn of Smithfield, N.C., and the late Mr. Ogburn.

Mr. Hedges, an alumnus of Phillips Academy at Andover, Charterhouse School, Colgate University and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, is a foreign affairs intern. His father, the new assistant director (Africa) of the U.S. Information Agency, has directed programs in Lebanon, Thailand, and Nigeria in recent years.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Ethelyn Hedges of Tacoma, Wash., and the late Dr. Leland Hedges of Oak Park, Ill. His maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Houser of River Forest, Ill; until his retirement, Mr. Houser was head of special engineering for the Crane Company.
