At four o'clock last Saturday afternoon, Wendy Ann White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. White of New Canaan, Ct., was married to Alexander Patrick Haig, son of General and Mrs. Alexander Meigs Haig Jr. of Mons, Belgium, at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan. The Rev. Francis R. Haig, uncle of the bridegroom, performed the Roman Catholic ceremomy assisted by the Rev. Monsignor Francis X. McGuire and the Rev. Vincent Mathews. A reception at the County Club of New Cansan followed.
Christine Doelger was maid of honor, Lt. Brian Haig was best man for his brohter; his sister Barbara Haig was in attendance along with Mary Jo Horrigan, Sally Cusick, Mary Wolf,David White, the bride's brother, Edward Cotter, Patrick McArdle, and Richard O'Conner.
The bride, an alumna of the School of the Holy Child in Rye, N.Y., is a junior at Trinity College in this city. Her father is a real estate developer.
Mr. Haig, who is with the Federal Energy Administration, graduated in 1974 from Georgetown University and this year from Georgetown University Law Center. His father is Supreme Allied Commander in Europe and he is a grandson of Lt. General (USA ret.) Alonzo P. Fox of this city.
