The marriage of Kathleen Marie Garner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Garner of Potomac, Md., and Robert Gray Deck, son of Mrs. William Deck, also of Potomac, and the late Mr. Deck, was celebrated on August 6 at St. Raphael's Church in Rockville. A reception following the ceremony was held at the Columbia County Club in Chevy Chase, Md.

The bride's gown, an original by Priscilla of Boston, was white organza with the bodice and traditional sleeves of English net appliqued with re-embroidered Alencon lace. The organza redingote skirt falling into a cheap length train was richly appliqued with lace, and framing her face was an exquisite mantilla of Alencon lace on silk illusion.

Karen Garner, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Joie Pacifico, Christina de Kun and Marjorie Bedingfield, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids, with his niece and nephew, Gray and Kenneth Bedingfield, as flower girl and ring bearer. Serving the groom as best man was Robert Littman and ushers were William Deck, Robert Bedingfield, James Deck, Paul Norwood and Robert Garner Jr.

The bride is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. with a degree in social relations. The groom attended Montgomery College and the University of Maryland and is associated with the W.H. and R.G. Deck contracting business.

After a wedding trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin islands, the couple is a residing in Rockville, Md.
