Marion Lees Gow, daughter of Col. (USA) and Mrs. Arthur J. Gow of Arlington, Va. and Marlborough, N.Y., was married to John Michael Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle J. Meyer of Worms W. Germany, on August 27.
The double rign ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Marlborough and the reception which followed at the home of the bride's great aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Meckes, was reminiscent of the day the bride's parents were married.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried white roses and stephanotis. She wore a wedding dress of white satin brocade with a cathedral train worn by her mother and other members of her family which was complemented by a family heirloom Rosepoint Brussels lace veil.
Cathy Taylor was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Dale Conner and Sherri Robson, with Lea Rivera as the flower girl. Robert Meyer was his brother's best man and the groomsmen were Montgomery Robson and Jose Rivera.
Mrs. Meyer, granddaughter of Mrs. John Gow Jr. of Marlborough, is a 1976 magna cum laude graduate with a major in languages from Georgetown College (Ky.). While completing B.A. requirements, she taught in a Montessori school in Heidelberg, Germany where her paents were stationed, and also worked with exceptional children in both Heidelberg and Berchtesgaden. She was employed here by MCT Telecommunication Corporation.
Mr. Meyer, an accountant with ITT/FEI International, Mannheim, attended schools in France and Germany, and is presently completing a degree at the Overseas Division of the University of Maryland in Heidelberg. He is the grandson of Monsieur and Madame Leon Moreau of Sonary, France. Monsieur Moreau is a noted artistt with a studio on the Riviera.
After a trip through France and Switzerland, the couple witll live in Bruhl, W. Germany.*
