Last Saturday at St. Thomas More Church, Rosemary Custer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond T. Custer of Tanglewood Trail, Darien, Ct., was married to Stephen Davey Glazier, son of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Glazier of North Stonington, Ct. The Rev. Michael Custer, O.S.B., of St. Anselm's Abbey (N.H.) and the Rev. Steven Elliot Melamed of The First Presbyterian Church (N.Y.), officiated, with the sister of the bridegroom, Alycia Glazier Shafavaloff, as soloist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length mantilla veil edged in Alencon lace. Her white silk organza gown had a portrait neckline and Empire bodice trimmed in Alencon lace and seed pearls, and the train was embroidered with matching lace. Paula Theis, as maid of honor and the bridemaids; Jaqueline Wolff and Mrs. Kevin Powers, were in dusty pink with matching picture hats. Lt. James Shafavaloff was best man and the ushers were Raymond I. Custer J., the bridge's brother, and Paul Fitzgerald, her cousin.
The bride and groom were driven in a horsedrawn carriage to the Country Club of Darien where a reception followed.
Mrs. Glazier is a graduate of Vassar College and Mr. Glazier of Princeton Universtiy. After a wedding trip to England, Ireland, and Scotland, they will reside in Tolland, Ct., where he is working towards his doctorate and she is a research assistant at the University of Connecticut.
