There are more foot-bowl games on TV this weekend than you can shake a cleat at. You can check the Scoreboard (on page 2 of the Sports section) each day for last-minute program changes, but here's an advance list so you can estimate how many cans of beer to buy. Friday: the Gator Bowl (Clemson vs. Pittsburgh) is on at 9, on Channel 7, Saturday: the Peach Bowl (North Carolina State vs. Iowa State) at noon on 20, the Sun Bowl (Louisiana State vs. Standford) at 1:30 on 9, East-West Football (that's not a bowl game, it's all-stars, but it seems to fit) at 4 on 5, and the Bluebonnet Bowl at 8 on 7. Moving right along, Sunday it's the AFC championship game, Oakland at Denver, at 2 on 4, and the NFC championship, Minnesota at Dallas, at 5:30 on 9. But the big deals are on Monday: the Cotton Bowl (Notre Dame vs. Texas) at 2 on 9, the Orange Bowl (Oklahoma vs. Arkansas) at 8 on 4, the Rose Bowl (Michigan vs. Washington) at 5 on 4 and the Sugar Bowl (Ohio State vs. Alabama) at 2 on 7. To be continued . . .
