The historic Carlyle House in Old Town, Alexandria was the setting for the marriage of Marcia Cecile Richards and Jeffrey Marc Bergen on December 17. The Rev. Richard B. Martin of St. Leo's Catholic Church and Rabbi Martin Siegel of Columbia, Md. performed the double ring candlelit ceremony uniting in marriage the daughter of Mrs. Marcia Van Nauker Richards of Fairfax and the late John Cecil Richards, to the son of Frederick Bergen of Brooklyn, N.Y. and the late Dorothy Cohen Bergen. Music was provided by the Rev. and Mrs. S.R. Albritton on the harpsicord and recorder and a reception and dinner followed.

The bride chose a traditional gown by Priscilla of Boston of white silk satin and Alencon lace. Hercustom-made veil had matching lace and satin piping which was attached to an Alencon lace cap, and she carried a bouquet of white butterfly orchids. She was given in marriage by her mother, and met by the bridegroom and his father at the staircase in the Grand Hall. Patricia Gabriel and Mrs. Mark Hages, as maid and matron of honor, were gowned in copper satin Qiana and carried old-fashioned, his best man Alan Adelson, and Mark Harger, the head usher, wore camel-colored tuxedos trimmed in brown velvet

Mrs. Bergen a graduate of Mary Washington College, is in the aster's programm is plicitcal service at the University of Chicago couple is now living in Hyde Park, III, after honeymooning in Sicily.
