Mrs. Gordon Coyne of Washington D.C. and Dr. Leopold Stanley Tuchman of Beverly Hills, Cal., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ellen Frances Tuchman to Harry Herman Orenstein.
Miss Tuchman, an artist, is associated with the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and will participate in a group exhibition in June at the Parsons-Dreyfuss Gallery.Educated at The Buckley and University Schools in Los Angeles and the National Cathredal School for Girls in this city, the future bride attended the University of California at Los Angeles and received a bachelor of fine arts with honors from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1976. Her mother, Jane Coyne, is associated with Vicki Bagley Realty, Inc. Her father is an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a former associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of Southern California. Long active in art and music circles, he is a member of the Modern and contemporary Art Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Mr. Orenstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Sam Orenstein of Old Mystic, Ct. is an alumnus of The Middlesex School, and graduated cum laude from Harvard college in 1975. He is a third-year student at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University.
Miss Tuchman is the granddaugther of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Calvin Cole of Southport, Ct. and the late Eliot Hillson Gordon of Los Angeles, and of Mrs. Philips L. Tuchman of New York City and Los Angeles, and the late Mr. Tuchman.
