In a garden-like setting of candlelight and white roses, Elise Hope Gelman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gelman of Washington, D.C. and Palm Beach, Fla., and Marc David Lefkowitz were married last Sunday evening at the Mayflower Hotel in this city. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rabbi Stanley Rabinowitz of Adas Israel Congregation. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. John Sakosits of Verona, N.J. and William Lefkowitz of Wycoff, N.J.

The bride wore a gown of white point d'esprit lace with a tulle veil held in place by a band of matching lace. She carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis. The bride's sister, Mrs. William Miller of Washington, was her matron of honor. Her bridal attendants included her cousin, Mrs. Richard Globman of Martinsville, Va., Mrs. Paul Bookstein of Bethesda, Md., and the Misses Nancy Ellen Cohen, Jami Birnbach, and Jacqueline Fain of this city, with the bride's niece, Miss Robin Lauren Miller, as the flower girl.

Joel Lefkowitz served as his brother's best man. William A. Miller, the bride's brother-in-law, Ira Lefkowitz, the groom's brother, William Lipnick, Samuel Maizel, Sidney Moakowitz, and Paul Bookstein were the ushers.

The couple, both graduates of George Washington University, will honeymoon in the south of France. On their return, they will make their home in Washington, D.C.
