By candlelight at Saint Albans Church, here, Anne Garretson Cassidy became the bride of Donald James Chizzonite last Saturday. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert E. Collins of Potomac and James R. Cassidy of Fredonia, N.Y. and Mr. Chizzonite is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rocco A. Chizzonite of Little Falls, N.Y. A reception followed at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Collins.
The bride wore her maternal great-grandmother's wedding gown, circa 1890, which was of white English net with scalloped neckline, sheered bodice, and sheered sleeves ending in bridal points. A basque waist complemented the full hooped skirt and chapel train. The veil was created to match the gown with a sheered net Juliet cap and edged silk illusion.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, John R. Cassidy of Fredonia, and attended by her sister, Robin B. Cassidy, as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Beth Collins, her sister, Victoria Benjamin, Ann Clemow and Mrs. Michael Zera. William M. Collins, the bride brother, was best man and the ushers were Thomas M. Ewing, Mark W. Filipski, Steven T. Simmons and Earl G. Greene III.
A graduate of Kirkland College, Mrs. Chizzonite will enter the executive training program at Garfinckel's. Mr. Chizzonite is a graduate of Hamilton College and is presently with the Howry and Simon law firm. They will live in this city.
