At the high altar of the Washington Cathedral, Martha Frances Allin was married on the afternoon of August 26 to Stanley Mears Diver. The Rev. David Lord assisted by the Rev. Carl Kunz united in marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent W. Allin of Chevy Chase, Md. to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford P. Diver of Wilmington, Del. In varying shades of coral were the brides's sister, Victoria, as maid of honor and the bridesmaids: Barbara Diver, the groom's sister, Leslie Busby, Carol Gunnip, and Mary Mills. Peter Thomas was best man and the groomsmen were Clifford P. Diver Jr., brother of the groom, Philip W. Allin, brother of the bride, Robert Wadington, Richard Dewey and Craig Smith.
Among the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Frank W. Diver, the groom's grandmother and his great-aunt, Mrs. Stanley Prickett of Walnut Grove, Calif., and the bride's great-aunt and uncle, Lt. Col. and Mrs. F.H. Wilkes of Toronto.
