In the Post Chapel at Fort Myer, Va., Kathryn Morley Sampson became the bride of William James Haugh, Capt. USA, on September 16. Father Donahue performed the ceremony uniting in marriage the daughter of Brigadier General and Mrs. Donald E. Sampson of Alexandria to the son of Capt. (USN ret.) and Mrs. Edward M. Haugh of Fairfare. A reception was held at the Army-Navy Country Club.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a pearl circlet brooch belonging to her great-grandmother on the white chiffon wedding gown featuring an English net bodice appoqued with Alencon lace and seed pearls, and a chapel length train. A Juliet cap covered in matching lace and pearls held a chapel length veil of tulle edged in lace medallions and veins of pearls. Nell Robinson was maid of honor; the bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Elizabeth, Patricia, and Julia Sampson; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Michael Sampson, and Kate Lee. They were gowned in matching burgundy. Serving the groom was Capt. Joseph Cyr, as best man and the ushers were Gregory Kuehler, Michael Sampson, and the groom's brothers, Timothy and Philip Haugh.

The bride, granddaughter of Mrs. A.B. Brand and Mrs. E.L. Sampson, is a 1976 graduate of Vassar College. Her husband is a member of the class of 1973 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. They will live in Jacksonville, Ala.
