The marriage of Constance Grice and William Jeffrey Spencer took place October 14 at two in the afternoon at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in East Brewster, Mass. Magr.Richard K. Burns of Rochester, N.Y., uncle of the bride, officiated, assisted by the Ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young, and Magr. Edward O'Malley of Albany, N.Y. A reception followed at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. David S. Grice of South Dennis, Mass.

The bride is a graduate of the Convent of the Sacred Heart (Pa.) and the University of Pennsylvania. She is special assistant to Ambassador Young and formerly served as legislative assistant to Mr. Young when he was the Congressman from the Fifth District of Georgia. Her father, the late Dr. Grice, was professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania, was former assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School, and was also associated with the Children's Medical Center of Boston.

Mr. Spencer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Seward Spencer of San Gabriel, Calif., is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles with graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh. He is executive director of the National Peace Academy Campaign and was formerly programming associate with Medical Planning Associates in Malibu, Calif. His father is the former director of development services at the California Institute of Technology and is currently the city clerk of San Gabriel.

Following a wedding trip to Nantocket and St. Thomas, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
