Mrs. Laurence Neal Woodworth of Cheverly, Md., wife of the late Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, announces the marriage of her daughter, Melissa Mary to Kevin James McGuire, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Farrell McGuire of Johnstown, N.Y. The bride was given in marriage by both her mother and her uncle, Hermon F. Wooeworth of Du Bois, Pa. The Rev. Dr. Roy H. Stetler, the Rev. Fr. Charles Muzzey, and the Rev. Richard E. Stetler shared in the 7 p.m. ceremony at the Cheverly United Methodist Church on December 30. A reception followed at Fannon Hall in Cheverly.

Mrs. McGuire was attended by her sister, Esther Woodworh, as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Marcia Cissel, Eileen Russo, Mary Grace Wldron and Diana Bond. Tricia McGuire, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Assisting at the reception were Stephanie Bond and Mrs. Joseph Fisher.

Timothy McGuire served as his brother's best man and brothers, John and Michael McGuire; William Kraekel and Robert Farr, were the groomsmen. Laurence and Joseph Woodworth, the bride's brothers, were ushers and David Laurence Woodworth, nephew of the bride, the ring bearer.

Mr. McGuire is a 1978 graduate of Syracuse University (N.Y.) where Mrs. McGuire is a senior. The cople will be at home in Syracuse.
