James Michener, Joseph E. Persico and Cynthia Propper Seaton will be the featured speakers at The Washington Post Book and Author Luncheon March 28 at 12:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Park Hotel.

Michener will speak about his latest novel, "Chesapeake," a historical panorama of Maryland's Eastern Shore and its founding families. The Pulitzer Prize winner is also the author of "Hawaii," "Centennial" and "Tales of the South Pacific."

"Persico's "Piercing the Reich," based on recently declassified CIA material and more than 100 interviews, reveals the success of U.S. spies in infiltrating Nazi Germany. It is the second book by the former chief speech writer for Nelson Rockefeller.

Seton will discuss middle age among the upper middle class in terms of Celia Dupont, the respectable wife and mother in Seton's newest novel, "A Glorious Third." Seton is also the author of "The Half Sisters," "The Sea Change of Angela Lews" and "A Fine Romance," which was nominated for a National Book Award.
