Mr. and Mrs. Adolphus Busch Orthwein of St. Louis, Mo. are announcing the engagement of her daughter, Linda Montgomery to Michael Edward Nail of Washington, D.C., the son of Mrs. Erie Weldon Guthrie of Kansas City, Kan. and the late Mr. Percy Edward Nail.

Miss Montgomery is also the daughter of Andrew Thompson Montgomery of Palo Alta, Calif., and a 1973 St. Louis debutante. She graduated cum laude in 1971 from The Masters School and in 1975 received a BA from Colorado College. A professional photographer, Miss Montgomery's work has been exhibited in Colorado Springs as well as in St. Louis and Washington, D.C., and in May she will have still another show here.

Mr. Nail is Chief of Housing Resources at the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County in Maryland. A 1968 graduate with a BS from the University of Kansas, he was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy serving as a supply officer in Vietnam, and is now in the inactive reserve.He received a graduate certificate in housing and urban development at the American University here and holds an MS in administration at George Washington University.

Miss Montgomery is the granddaughter of Mrs. DaCamara Morrison of Palm Beach, Fla., Frederic Maurice Morrison of Pleasantville, Tenn., and of the late Mrs. Charles Sorenson of Washington, and the late Andrew Mitchell Montgomery of Orange, Va. Mr. Nail is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Robert Block of Evansville, Ind., and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Nail of Memphis, Tenn.

A June wedding is planned in Washington, D.C.
