Peri Alain Neilson was married to John Francis Nash Jr. on May 26 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C.; the Rev. A. Thomas Blackmon officiated. The reception following was held at the Fairfax Hotel.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rhoda M. Neilson and the late N. Paul Neilson, former assistant Director for the Far East, U.S. Information Agency. The bride was given in marriage by her godfather, former Ambassador Emroy C. Swank. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Francis Nash of Reno, Nev. He is the grandson of Mrs. Esther Auchincloss Blitx, also of Reno.
The bride's attendants were Mrs. Wendy Kirby, matron of honor; Kim Marquesen, bridesmaid, and Hilliary Robinson, junior bridesmaid. Special music was played by Brenda W. Tubby, classical guitarist John Todd was best man and Mark Schifrin ushered.
Mrs Nash is a summa cum laude graduate of both the Holton-Arms School and the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. Mr. Nash graduated from Iolani Boys School in Hawaii and is an honors graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He served with distinction for five years in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of captain. Both graduated from the Georgetown Law Center in May, as did the matron of honors and the best man. Upon completing bar examination requirements, Mrs Nash will join the legal firm of Surrey, Karasik and Morse of this city, and Mr. Nash as minority counsel for the Antitrust Subcommittee, Committee on the Judiciary at the U.S. Senate.
