Vicki Leigh Lynch, daughter of Mrs. Richard B. Kirkpatrick of Chevy Chase, Md., and the late Kenneth F. Lynch, was married June 23 at Pilgram Lutheran Church, Bethesda, to James I. Porter, Jr., son of Mrs. James I. Porter of Bethesda and the late Mr. Porter. The bride's grandfather, the Rev. Dr. Martin C. Poch (Chapl. USAF ret.) and former pastor of Pilgrim Lutheran, officiated. The groom's father was an architect and engineer with Irwin S. Porter and Sons and assistant director of the Government Bureau of Design and Engineering.
The bride, wearing a gown of white organza with a raised bodice Alencon lace sculpting a Queen Anne neckline, was given in marriage by her stepfather, Richard B. Kirkpatrick, who is a former Washington correspondent for The Cincinnati Enquirer and presently a Justice Department attorney. She was attended by Christina Brown, maid of honor, and Marjorie Jurist, Patricia Kalla and Mrs Michael Diehl. Serving Mr Porter were his brother-in-law, C. William Moore as best man, and Griff Hall, John Thompson and Thomas H. Kirkpatrick, the flower was ring bearer and his sister, Kimberly Kirkpatrick, the flower girl. A reception followed at the Bethesda Naval Officers Club.
The bride is a sales representative for World Tours, Inc., and a travel agent for W.I.T. Travel, Inc. Mr. Porter is with World Tours and is a real estate agent.
