Sage Chapel at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. was the setting for the July 21 wedding of Dr. Anne Parris Bell, daughter of J.P. Bell of Muncie, Ind. and Mrs. Peggy Bell Hollingsworth of Jamaica, N.Y. and Mark Kamerer Snell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Snell of Silver Spring, Md. The Rev. Donald Howland, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca, officiated.
The bride was attended by Mrs. Linda K. Swofford of Cleveland, O., matron of honoor, and Joan E. Bender of Boulder, Colo., maid of honor, Scott T. Snell was his brother's best man. Richard Ledord of Ithaca served as usher. The groom's sister, Mrs Nacy P. Anselm of Crofton, Md., sang the solo at the ceremony.
The bride holds a BS degree with honors in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and recently received a PhD in bio-chemistry from Cornell University. Her father, a retired minister, works for General Motors. Her mother is a public school teacher specializing in early childhood education.
The groom graduated summa cum laude with a BA in economics from Syracuse University. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, he is a doctoral candidate in operations reserch at Cornell University. His father is a research historian with the National Park Service Department of the Interior. His mother is president of the Kensington (Md.) Child Day Care Council.
