If you can wait till fall, when a chill sets in, you can have Garfinckel's deliver a box of Godiva chocolates. The chocolates have no preservatives, so the store won't deliver them in the summer. All branches except Tyson's Corner carry Godiva, so call the Garfinckel's nearest you.

Espresso? Georgetown Coffee Tea and Spice (1328 Wisconsin Ave., NW, 338-3801) will ship it to you via U.P.S. Call them early enough - before 1 p.m. - and you'll have next-day delivery. They take credit card phone orders and the only cost is what U.P.S. charges.

Most of the stores above offer more than what's listed - groceries from the grocers, deli from the cheese stores, etc., so ask. Also ask around your neighborhood. Liquor stores usually deliver, as do florists.
