At Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Louise Isabella Venz was joined in marriage recently to Joseph Errington Lloyd Jr. by the Rev. Michael Greenwell and the Rev. Robert Wummer, pastor.
The bride, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Emil J. Venz, was given in marriage by her cousin, James D. Arbuthnot Sr. She chose a white chapel length silk organza gown with a venetian lace Queen Anne neckline, full bishop sleeves, silhouette skirt and chapel length train. Her Priscilla of Boston headpiece and veil were appliqued with matching lace. Resting on the white Bible, given to her by her husband, was a bouquet of white daisies and pink baby roses centered with a white orchid. Wearing blue chiffon in the empire style and holding white daisies and pink carnations was her sister, Annette Venz Barb, as matron of honor. Robert F. Miller was best man and the ushers were William D. Flynn and James D. Arbuthnot Jr.
Sounds of Music, under the direction of Thomas Vinciguerra, performed at the reception and dinner held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Siver Spring. Henry J. Sommers, a friend of the bride, composed the words and music to "My Ladder of Dreams" sung by the bride herself.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii and now reside in Washington, D.C.
