Last Saturday morning, Wendy A. Reeves became the bride of Hays Thomas Watkins III in Trinity United Methodist Church here in Alexandria. Dr. Ronald E. Sleeth of Garrett Theological Seminary in Illinois and the Rev. Donald Colby of Trinity joined in marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Prentice Reeves of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Norwalk, Ct., to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hays Thomas Watkins of Moreland Hills, Ohio. The couple were honored at a reception held at the Army Navy Club.
In attendance were Barbara A. Reeves, Robert W. Reeves, Mrs. Margaret A. Reeves, Karen Thagard, Susan Mara and Frieda Ringer, Edward H. Ripper, Rich Hozlk, James Rath, and David Curtiss.
A 1974 graduate of the University of Connecticut, the bride received an MBA in finance this year from the George Washington University. She is a senior financial analyst with Martin Marietta Corp. Mr. Watkins, a 1974 graduate of the College of William and Mary with an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, is an associate with McKinsey & Co., Inc., general management consultants in Chicago. His father is chairman and president of the Chessie System Inc. and Mrs. Watkin's father, now retired, was a chemical engineer in the New York corporate division of Mobil Oil Company.
After an Hawaiian wedding trip, the Watkins will live in Evanston, Ill.
