Married recently in the Roman Catholic Church of Our Saviour in Manhattan were Elizabeth Regina Menk and William Richard Griffin Jr., with the Rev. Charles Dolan, SJ, officiating. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Menk of Glen Ridge and Sea Grit, N.J., had her sister, Mary Catherine Manning, as matron of honor assisted by Kathleen Cooney and Kathleen Hume. Mr. Griffin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Griffin of Silver Spring, MD., was served by his brother, Thomas Griffin, as best man.
Mrs. Griffin, an alumna of Lacordaire Academy (N.Y.) and Marymount College (N.Y.) with a year at the Institute of European Studies is Austria, has a master's in art history from Tufts University. She does public relations work in the Boston office of the Prudential Insurance Company. Her father is president of Boyden Associates, and international executive search firm in New York, and her late grandfather, Paul F. Cullum, was an attorney and the mayor of North Bergen, N.J.
The groom, an attorney and an engineer, is involved in licensing and management of construction projects for the Boston Edison Company. He holds a civil engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master's in environmental engineering from Northeastern University, and a juris doctor from Suffolk Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. His parents are recently retired; Mr. Griffin from Chevy Chase Chevrolet in Bethesda and Mrs. Griffin from the Montgomery County school system.
