On Saturday, October 20, Cynthia Lori Lloyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger William Lloyd of District Heights, Md., was united in marriage to James Edward Muir Jr., Lt. USA, son of Mrs. Betty Muir, also of District Heights. The Nuptial Mass took place in Fort Myer Memorial Chapel with Rev. Donald P. Worch officiating, assisted by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter P. Rakowski and the Rev. Mr. Karl Chimiak. A reception followed at Fort Myer Officers' Club.
The bride wore a traditional gown of silk organza with a Queen Anne neckline, long sleeves, fitted bodice and cathedral train covered with reembroidered alencon lace, seed pearls and crystal beads. Her cathedral length veil fell from a matching cap of alencon lace, seed pearls and crystals, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white and yellow roses, stephanotis, a white orchid, and baby's breath. The matron of honor, Mrs. Thomas J. Campbell; Mrs. Leonard Ellison, Helen M. Burggraff, and Theresa M. Dunn, classmates of the bride at Mt. St. Mary's College -- class of 1978 -- were in attendance along with Karen C. Frederick and Pamela A. Veazey. Jennifer L. Eichorn, the groom's niece and Lisa Biederman were flower girls.
Robert A. Jacobs was the groom's best man and the ushers were Thomas J. Campbell, Thomas A. Harrison, Robert A. Biederman, Reed E. James and Michael J. Wood.
The groom, a graduate of the American University, is presently stationed in Massachusetts where the couple is now residing, after their wedding trip to Hawaii.
