The marriage of Michele Martine Trutanic to Joseph Patrick Kearney took place last Saturday at Mary Star of the Sea Church in California. The bride, daughter of Nina Bogdanovic Trutanic and the late Nicholas Frank Trutanic, was given in marriage by her brother, Nicholas Frank Trutanic Jr., to the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Kearney of Brooklyn, N.Y. the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Kieffer performed the ceremony.

Mrs. Albert E. Fry of Washington D.C. was maid of honor. John Thomas Kearney of New Jersey was his brother's best man.

The bride is attending Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. A graduate of Marlborough School and Mills College (Cal.), she was appointed special assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Energy and Minerals in the Office of the Secretary of Interior, and prior to that, she was with the White House Office of Management and Budget. She is the granddaughter of the late Martin Joseph Bogdanovic, founder and chairman of Star Kist Foods, Inc., of which her father, an international fisheries consulant, was vice-president.

The bridegroom, a graduate of Manhattan College (N.Y.) with a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was Chief of Energy Technology in the White House Office of Management and Budget. He is presently Director of Energy Programs and Plans for the Systems Development Corporation in California. His father is senior partner in the firm of Hurley, Kearney, and Lane of Brooklyn, N.Y.

The couple plans to reside in Long Beach, Cal.
