Asheville, N.C. -- Paula Carroll O'Kelley and Lee Bourne Holmes Jr., Ens. USN, were married in the Central United Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon, October 20. Dr. Embree Blackard conducted the double ring ceremony uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas O'Kelley of Asheville to The son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bourne Holmes of Fairfax Station, Va. The reception followed at the Enka Lake Club.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore white organza accented by beaded alencon lace. In attendance were Beth Hintz, her cousin, Sue Ellen Gamble, Annette Lignon, Ann Pennell, Tish Hackney, Jane Hutton, and Martha Garner. Serving Mr. Holmes were his father as best man and his brother, Jack Holmes assisted by the bride's brother, Charles O'Kelley, Ken Taft, Bucky Presiter, Doug Walton, Dave Hergenroeder, Jim Lynch, Tom Daly and Clay Rolfe. Jennifer Holmes, the groom's sister, and Tara O'Kelley, the bride's niece, were flower girls. t

Mr. Holmes is in flight training with the U.S. Navy in Pensacola, Fla. He holds a BA in American studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from which his bride will graduate in May with a BA in political science.
