Jane Emily Genster and John Joseph Buckley Jr., attorneys with the law firm of Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C., were married here at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on January 12. Father James M. English, SJ, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Joseph Genester of Hamilton, N.Y. A former law clerk for Judge Charles B. Renfrew of the U.S. District Court in San Francisco, she graduated from Princeton University and the University of Virginia School of Law where whe was a member of the Virginia Law Review. Her father, retired from The Sperry & Hutchinson Company where he was a vice-president, is director of planning for American Management Association.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Buckley of Larchmont, NY. He graduated from Georgetown University and the University of Chicago Law School where he served as editor-in-chief of the Chicago Law Review. Formerly a special assistant to then Attorney General Edward H. Levi, Mr. Buckley was law clerk to Associate Justice Lewis F. Powell, Jr. of the Supreme Court and to Judge John Minor Wisdom of the U.S. Court of Appeals in New Orleans. His father, a former restaurant owner, was born in Ireland.
