St. Mark's Espiscopal Church in San Antonio, Tx. was the setting for the Saturday evening, February 16th. marriage of Barbara Ann Rooth and Nord Albert Foster. The Rev. John R. Roen, assisted by the Rev. William H. Crist Jr., officiated at the candlelight Communion service. Acolytes for the ceremony were the bride's cousins: Clayton, Robert, and Stephen Putnam of Silver Spring, Md., with her brother, Lt. (USCG) Richard Arthur Rooth of Los Angeles, as special reader.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Arlen Rooth, formerly of Fairfax, Va., was given in marriage by her father. She was lovely in a traditional wedding dress of alencon lace accented by a scalloped peacock train and she carried her mother's wedding Bible under an arrangement of orchids and ivy.
Maid of honor was Susanah Branch Brown, Arlington, Va.; the bridesmaids were Mary Gotschall, Alexandria, Va.; Sheryl Beth Nelson, Lakewood, Ohio; and Lisa Kay Foster, Austin, Tx., sister of the groom. Mr. Foster, son of Dr. and Mrs. Manus Foster of Dallas, Tx., was served by Richard Edward Hodges, best man; groomsmen were Lamont Anderson, Los angeles; Lionel Saldana, San Antonio; and Craig Foster, Dallas, brother of the groom.
A graduate of St. Agnes Episcopal School here and Bucknell University, Mrs. Foster did graduate work in Spanish at Middlebury College with membership in the National Spanish Honorary Society and Pi Beta Phi sorority. She is employed by McFann, Gray, and Associates of San Antonio. Her husband is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and is in the sales division of the Xerox Corporation.
After a reception and dinner-dance, the couple left on a wedding trip to the Caribbean. They will reside in San Antonio.
