Last Saturday, JoAnn Marie Heffernan became the bride of Richard Frederick Heisen in the Community Church in Pound Ridge, N.Y., with the Rev. Richard Monkman officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Jeanne Berger Heffernan of Silver Spring, Md. and the late Milton F. Heffernan, Sr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Heisen of Pound Ridge. The reception was held at Waccabuc Country Club.
Mrs. Heisen is the Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Kenmill Textile Corporation, the vice-president of the Financial Women's Association of New York and a member of its Executive Committee and on the Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Women's Economic Roundtable. A graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame, here, with a degree in economics from Syracuse University, she did studies at the Piazza Savinarola in Florence, Italy and received an MBA in finance from New York University. Her mother, now retired, was with the National Institute of Health, where the late Mr. Heffernan was a financial management officer.
Mr. Heisen is an advertising sales executive with U.S. News and World Report, and president of the New York State Consumer Magazine Association. He is a graduate of Concordia Preparatory School in Bronxville and attended Concordia College and the University of Virginia. His father was an executive of National Sleep Products and his mother was with the New York State Educational System and a producer of several educational TV programs.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her brother, Milton, Jr. Her maid of honor was Carole Lewis Anderson; her sister Peggy Heffernan Davis and Candace L. Straight, were bridesmaids. Mr. Heisen's best man was Edward McNulty and the ushers were Richard Henke and Patrick Heffernan, the bride's younger brother.
Following a honeymoon in Nantucket, the couple will live in Bronxville, N.Y.
