In St. David's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., Elizabeth Wells Stabler, daughter of Ambassador and Mrs. Wells Stabler of this city, was married last Saturday to William Frederick Leslie, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Frederick W. Leslie of Holden, Mass. The Rev. Luther D. Miller officiated, and a garden reception followed at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride wore her grandmother's wedding dress and veil of rosepoint lace. She was attended by her sister, Susan Brooks Stabler, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ellen Harrington, Jennifer Hunt, Marian Kuhn and Gayle Milla, niece of the groom. Kurt Leslie was his brother's best man. Edward and Eric Stabler, brothers of the bride; Anwar Badwan, and Gary Blanchard, were ushers.

The bride is a graduate of Westover School and American University and her junior year was spent at the University of Besancon, France. She is with the Boston office of Scudder, Stevens and Clark. Her father, recently retired from the Foreign Service, was United States Ambassador to Spain from 1975 to 1978.

Mr. Leslie, a graduate of Worcester Academy and American University, is a field sales engineer with Warner and Swasey.

Following a wedding trip to Scotland, the couple will live in Massachusetts.
