In a four o'clock ceremony on July 26, Carole Jean Ivey and John W. McNeill exchanged vows in the Fairfax Unitarian Church in Oakton. A buffet reception was held on the church grounds, featuring the harp music of Mrs. Holly Avesian.
The former Miss Ivey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. Ivey of Springfield, Mo., was escorted by her father. Carrying white sweetheart roses, the bride wore a gown of white quiana with a bodice of venise lace and pearls, and a fingertip mantilla trimmed with matching lace. Attending the bridal couple were: Mrs. W. B. Lewandoski, Bonnie Dawn McNeill, Thomas R. McNeill, Ian McNeill and David Biehler; Kelly Mara McNeill and Thomas McNeill, Jr. were at the gust book.
Mrs. McNeill, a graduate of the National Law Center, George Washington University, is a staff attorney with the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. Mrs. McNeill, a graduate of Wesleyan University (Ct.), is a date processing manager with the Federal Highway Administration. He is the son of Mrs. Ruth Slattery McNeill of Winter Park, Fla. and the late Campbell White McNeill of East Africa and the Island of Montserrat.
After their wedding trip to the Laurentain Mountains in Quebec, the couple resides in Falls Church.
