Last Saturday, October 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria, Elizabeth Wintress Richey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earle J. Richey of Falls Church, Va., was married to Dr. Sjoerd Beck, son of Dr. and Mrs. Gerrit V. Beck-van Asperen of Zwolle, The Netherlands. Father Herman Reith, CSC, of Notre Dame University, officiated and the reception followed at the Robert E. Lee Boyhood Home in Alexandria.

The bride's sister, Susan, was maid of honor; Kees Leeffers of The Hague, served as best man.

The bride, until recently employed in the television industry in Los Angeles, is an alumna of Choate Rosemary Hall (Ct.) and of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a candidate for an MFA in cinema from the University of California at Los Angeles.Dr. Beck took a master's from UCLA's School of Public Health and graduated from Groningen University Medical School in the Netherlands. He is currently a medical consultant with the Rand Corporation, a private research organization in Santa Monica, Cal., and will begin medical internship in July.His father is a surgeon in private practice in Zwolle. The bride's father, an attorney, is a retired Foreign Service Officer. The couple will reside in the Los Angeles area.
