Lisa Diane Niven, daughter of Mrs. Lucy Ann Stott Niven of North Palm Beach, Fla. and Mt. Henry A. Niven of Annapolis, Md., was married September 27th to John Frederick Golden, son of Mrs. Oscar H. Golden of Hartsdale, N.Y. and the late Mr. Golden. The ceremony took place in the Chapel at Vassar College in Poughksepsie, N.Y.
The bride was lovely in her mother's wedding dress of ivory antique satin and a family heirloom viel of Brussels lace. She carried a bouquet of white and sterling silver roses. Tracy Niven of Cheshire, Ct. was her sister's maid of honor. The groom was served by Mark Lawrence of New York City as best man. Ushers were Richard S. Niven, brother of the bride, of Orleans, Mass. and Robert A. Mitchell of New York City.
Mrs. Golden graduated from Vassar College and is studying for her master's in urban planning at Hunter College in New York City. An eight generation Washingtonian, she is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Stott and the great granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Larner.
Mr. Golden, a graduate of Vassar College and The American Film Institute in Los Angeles, is a screenwriter currently employed by Columbia Pictures.
The couple will live in New York City.
