Christ Church in Georgetown set the scene when Beth Kimbrough Oliver was given in marriage by her father to Jeffrey Wayne Smith, The Rev. Sanform Garner, Episcopal, united the daughter of Col. (USA ret.) and Mrs. George Sanders Oliver of McLean, Va. to the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Smith of Kingsville, Tx., at seven in the evening of February 14.

The bride wore her mother's white velvet wedding gown, an original, accented by the addition of lace and pearls and gracing her neck was her great-great grandmother's perfumer on velvet ribbon wrapped with pearls. In attendance were Katherine Tilson, maid of honor; Catharine Bishop, Bonnie Down, Annette Filippini, and Cathleen Ozmore, bridesmaids; Geri and Karl Kimbrough, the brides cousins, acted as flower girl and ring bearer, respectively. Serving Mr. Smith were his brother, Dean Smith, best man; George Sanders Oliver, Jr., brother of the bride, Rodney Batiste, Michael Coles, Dr. David Haidak, Daniel Magnus, and Randolph Renchard.

The bride, a professional dancer known as Kim Oliver, has her own group "Kim and Company" and is an alumna of the Washington School of Ballet and Catholic University. Mr. Smith is vice-president of Jhoon Rhee Karate Institute and a former world light-heavy weight Karae champion. His alma mater is Texas A&I Uiniversity where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta. They are making their home in Arlington.
