Harolyn Sue Landow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Landow of Bethesda, Maryland and Michael H. Cardozo, V, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael H. Cardozo of Washington, D.C., were married last Saturday evening at the Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington, D.C.
The bride was attended by Alice Rebecca Cardozo, maid of honor; Julia C. Eisendrath, matron of honor, sisters of the groom; and by Lori Derkay, Judith Kent, and Tracy Kohn. Charles R. Eisendrath acted as best man, and the ushers were Michael Berman, David Dawley, Edward Hoyshire, M. Langhorne Keith, David Landow and Michael Landow. Rabbi Joseph W. Weinberg performed the ceremony. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Mayflower Hotel.
Mrs. Cardozo is Marketing Director of Ski Industries America in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, and Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University. During the Carter Administration, she was a special assistant to Hamilton Jordon, Chief of Staff in the White House. Her father is the owner of Landow and Co., real estate developers in Metropolitan Washington and served as a United States Representative to the United Nations.
Mr. Cardozo, an attorney, is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass.; Dartmouth College and University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the bar in the District of Columbia and Virginia, and served for three years as an officer in the United States Navy. During the Carter Administration, he was in the Office of Counsel to the President in the White House, resigning as Deputy Counsel to the President on January 20. His father, now in private law practice in Washington, is a former professor of law at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and other law schools, and was the Executive Director of the Association of American Law Schools from 1963 to 1973. Mr. Cardozo is a cousin of the late Associate Justice Benjamin Nathan Cardozo of the United States Supreme Court.
After a wedding trip abroad, the couple will reside in Washington.
