Lisa Marie Scholl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Scholl of Fairfax, Va., was given in marriage by her father to Des John Darazs, son of Dr. and Mrs. Arpad A. Darazs of Columbia, S.C., at the Hope Lutheran Church in Annandale, last Saturday, July 11. The Rev. J. Lowell Knauff was the officiating minister.
The bride was lovely in an Eve of Milady gown of white chiffon. A sheer yoke of shiffli embroidery outlined the queen anne neckline, imported re-embroidered alencon lace and seed pearls accented the bodice and full bishop sleeves and completing the effect was a cathedral length mantilla of silk illusion and a handsome arrangement of pink bridal roses by Mrs. Anne Collis of Falls Church.
Mrs. Patti Mussenden, Silver Spring, Md. was her sister's matron of honor and her other sister, Diane Scholl, was a bridesmaid along with college roommate Diane Jackson, Fairfax; Catherine Edmunds, Manassas, Va., Mrs. Judy Brooks, Columbia, S.C., sister of the groom with her daughter, Laura Ashley Brooks as flower girl.
The groom's brother, Bertran Darazs of Shreveport, La. was best man and the groomsmen were David Picow, Austin, Tx., Lovic Brooks, the groom's brother-in-law; William Mussenden, the bride's brother-in-law and her cousin, Chris Schillinger, Schnecksville, Pa. The bride's little cousin, Jeffrey Thompson, Little Rock, Ark., was ring bearer.
The focal point at the reception that followed in the Country Club of Fairfax was the 4-tiered Grecian fountain wedding cake created by Mrs. Lillian O'Connell of Springfield.
The bride is an alumna of North Carolina State University and her husband is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina.
Mr. and Mrs. Darazs began their honeymoon at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C. and moved on to St. Thomas to complete their wedding trip. They will reside in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
