In the Washington Cathedral last Saturday, July 18, Charlyn Kay Adlis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Adlis of Clifton Forge, Va., exchanged marriage vows with Ronald Timothy Crawford, son of Mrs. Nancy Stearns Crawford of Glendale, Cal. and Mr. Ronald Crawford of Arlington, Va. The Rev. Burton J. Newman officiated and a reception was held at the Washington Golf and Country Club.

The bride was stunning in an ecru peau de soie gown accented with alencon lace and pearls, and featuring a cathedral length train. Debra Adlis was her sister's maid of honor; other bridesmaids were HelenMarie Copley, Martha Marshall, Phyllis Nix, Kathlyn Sandberg, and Rebekah Woodruff. Rebecca Harman, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid and Mary Johnson was the flower girl. The groom's father served as best man; Jeffrey and Richard Crawford, brothers of the groom, Alexander Crawford, the groom's uncle, Roy Madsen, and Kenneth Johnston were ushers.Michael Harman, the bride's cousin, served as junior usher.

The bride holds a degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary. She is working toward a JD degree at the Catholic University of America. Her father is the owner and president of Little Gems, Inc., a textile firm in Eagle Rock, Va.

The groom is the White House Liaison to the Republican National Committee. He attended the University of Arizona. His father is the president of E/P Research Associates, a political consulting firm in Washington, D.C. His mother is an English teacher with the Glendale Unified School District.

The couple will reside in Arlington, Va.
